BODYSSEY is my first exploration of MRI images. My fascination with the technology behind the machine and its images served as the starting point for my project. It emerged through a dialogue with my body and opens up an interstitial space between the inner and outer worlds.

Specifically, I work with my own material drawn from several studies and translate it into multimedia form. BODYSSEY moves along the membrane of the in-between, within a continuum of the mutual interpenetration of isolation and captivity, fusion and dissolution.

Together with the trio BASSANA, MODDROW, SOBOTTA (Sula Bassana, Steffen Moddrow, Ulli Sobotta), we designed a space in which visual art and live music were directly intertwined. The musical performance and the artistic works came together simultaneously and influenced the perception of the entire space. This created a shared spatial and sensory experience in which the exhibition and the concert merged into one another.
